I was using a Keurig for years and thought that was just what home coffee was. My wife finally convinced me to get a real espresso machine and man, what a difference. I've attached a pic of the new machine next to my old trusty Keurig, and it's like a night and day comparison.
First off, this thing looks awesome on the counter. It's all stainless steel and feels really solid, not like cheap plastic. The built-in grinder is a total game changer. The smell of fresh ground beans in the morning is just fantastic. It took me a few tries to get the grind size right, but once you dial it in, it's super consistent.
Pulling the first shot and actually watching the pressure gauge was so cool. The espresso that comes out is legit. It's got that beautiful crema on top and the taste is so much richer than the pods I was used to. There's a bit of a learning curve, for sure, but it's fun! It makes my morning coffee feel like a nice little ritual instead of just pushing a button.
The steam wand is powerful too. Me and my wife loves making lattes on the weekend. It took some practice to get the milk right, but we can make stuff that is way better than what we were paying for at the big coffee shops.
If you're thinking about upgrading from a pod machine, just do it. This machine is a fantastic value and I couldn't be happier with it.
