    Perfect fit. Very nicely made leveler. Easy to use and quick leveling of the coffee bed with two or three twists. Heavy, nicely polished leveling surface and beautifully finished wood that fits comfortly in my hand. Easily adjusted to the depth you choose. Because of the high polish, cleaning is very easy. Sometimes, however, I find small amount of grounds between the crevices where the adjustment rings are but no biggy just brush off.

    First time buying a distributor. High build quality. Solid, heavy, and well-made. However, I don’t know how it improves the tamping process.
    I use a funnel that fits into Breville Barista Express, not a wide and short one. This thing cannot fit into the funnel. I have to remove the funnel to use it, which makes it messy. I have to shake it before removing the funnel. Watched all the video and read all the comments. Adjusting the height is fine, but when I apply it to the coffee grounds and give it a gentle spin, it just creates more mess as some grounds move to the edge of the basket. Tougher with double shots. Anyway, I prefer having the funnel on, potentially apply the original tamper (fits into the funnel), and then apply the tamper with a spring from this brand. It’s pretty, but unfortunately have to return it. Cannot make it work or see any value-add from this tool after many attempts.

    Finally – the tool I need for my Barista Touch Impress

    I have a Breville Barista Touch Impress espresso machine, but felt I could do better for a grinder. I bought an external grinder which dumps into small cup which is put over the upside down portafilter, then inverted to dump the grounds into it.

    The problem is that the grounds look like a small mountain and need to be levelled so that I can slide the portafilter into the Barista Touch's tamping station. I bought a funnel and distribution tool set to do that.

    This 54mm espresso distribution tool is adjustable to sit at the proper height inside the filter (just above where the tamper will compress the grounds) and heavy enough that you don't need to put pressure on it. Just turn the beautiful wood cap and the job is done.

    You DO need to be judicious of the funnel you buy so that it is shallow and wide enough to let the distribution tool make it into the basket. I don't think I can say the name of another product in this review, but you can look at the photo. It is stainless with magnets.
