The Specialty Coffee Association and the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) are bringing the Global of Espresso industry display and the Global Brewers Cup to Bogotá in 2027.
SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos and FNC CEO Germán Bahamón collectively made the announcement throughout the primary spherical of the World Barista Championship on the HostMilano industry display in Milan, Italy, endmost pace. (Take a look at all of DCN’s HostMilano 2025 coverage.)
The development continues the SCA’s growth of the industry display emblem — up to now held as soon as once a year in a Ecu town — to extra portions of the sector, together with coffee-producing international locations. “Renowned for its rich aromas and balanced profiles, Colombia is at the forefront of specialty coffee,” Apostolopoulos mentioned in a statement from the crowd. “World of Coffee will spotlight the strong in-country growth in coffee consumption and invite the world to visit and taste Colombia firsthand.”
