This pitcher is a great investment and a very straight forward no frills approach if you want to make your own cold brew at home and save some money!
The stainless steel mesh grounds basket is well made and comes with its own cleaning brush.
The pitcher has two lids, one with a handle, made out of heavy plastic.
The pitcher itself is heavy glass, not cheap, and holds 64 fl oz.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN COLD BREW AT HOME
(Like Starbucks OR Like Dunkin)

1. Choose a DARK ROAST pound of WHOLE BEAN coffee.
2. Grind the entire lb of coffee on the COARSE setting ONLY!
3. Place 1/2 lb of coarse grounds into stainless steel mesh, place mesh into empty pitcher. Do NOT compress the ground coffee into the filter, just pour in the grounds until the filter is full.
4. Slowly fill the pitcher with cold/tap/lukewarm/filtered water, making sure the water steeps THROUGH the coffee grounds and into the pitcher. You want ALL of the grounds to be wet. Do NOT just put your mesh basket full of dry grounds into a full pitcher of cold water!!
5. After the pitcher is full, Steep for 16 – 20 hours. (16 hours for Dunkin, 20 hours for Starbucks method) You will see the brew getting darker the longer it steeps.

DUNKIN vs Starbucks:
Dunkin’ immediately places the steeping cold brew into the fridge and allows it to steep.
Starbucks method the steeping cold brew should sit out on the counter in regular 72’ etc environment.

6. After the coarse grounds have steeped for your desired/chosen amount of time, remove the grounds from the pitcher, allowing the mesh filter to drip/drain all the cold brew into the pitcher.
7. Yield is approx 5-8 cups of cold brew
8. Refrigerate your brew. BOTH companies refrigerate the cold brew after it has steeped for up to 7 days. Cold Brew older than 7 days should be discarded as it is considered to be expired.
9. You can choose to dilute the cold brew or not, it is your preference. If you do choose to dilute it, it should be 1:1 water to cold brew.
10. Enjoy your cold brew creation!
11. For easiest cleaning of mesh filter, allow the grounds to sit out and dry out before attempting to wash the filter. The dry coffee grounds are much easier to clean out of the mesh filter than wet! AVOID allowing grounds into your drain!!

I love this cold brew coffee maker shaped like a mason jar. The glass is sturdy and looks great, and it comes with two lids for convenience. The steel mesh filter works perfectly to keep grounds out while brewing smooth, rich coffee. Easy to clean and perfect size for making just the right amount. Great addition to my kitchen!

It was easy to use and clean and it makes great cold brew. You can use any coffee you like. It was delicious! The price was good and I love the way the lids seal. I wash it and the basket in the dishwasher so it seems durable. Very happy about my purchase.

I bought this with the intent of making iced coffee in austere environments, where I didn't have a coffee pot to brew and only had a fridge or cooler to borrow. The filter sleeve is nice , and leave minimal sediment. I chose to get some cold brew coffee bag/sleeves to further filter the sediment out and make it that much smother. The glass is thick, the lids are tough! Make sure you don't throw away or leave off the silicone seal for under the stainless sleeve, it WILL leak, but if the double seal design is completely leak proof!! The brush is a must for the cleaning and maintenance of the system. I couldn't be any more impressed. I brew mine for 24 hours, it's about a cup of commercial grounds or at home I used course grounds, I pack the filter bag/pouch tightly. Buy and enjoy! The taste is rich, and much smoother than hot brewing and chilling after. One brew makes about a week of 12oz cold brews, once you remove the coffee and filter volume.

My wife loves this thing. We use to pay a lot of money at local coffee shops for her cold brew addiction. However, this makes it nice and easy to brew it at home. Sturdy container, tight snapping lid and fits nicely in standard refrigerator door openings. Perfect fit in the doors and perfect size for a few days of coffee.

This was so easy to use, and I use it every morning to make me an iced cold coffee! This does not leak. The taste of the coffee is awesome! The product is very easy to clean, and the quality is awesome of the product.

This is BY FAR the best cold brew maker/carafe. I've gotten a big bulky plastic one that didn't last that long. I've been through half a dozen other glass ones. The BIGGEST problem with all of them is how thing the glass always is. They break all the time. I've gotten one for my now wife when we were dating. It broke, had to get a new one. I went through 3 myself. They glass is usually so thing it doesn't take much at all to break them. So we would have to transfer the coffee into another carafe to store it in the fridge. Then chamber inside is usually really thing and gets easy gets bends up and down the walls while you clean it. The lids are usually kind of loose and pop right off.
This one solves ALL that! The glass is heavy duty like a mason jar. Both lids screw on tight, and has a nice pourer. The metal chamber is double walled and super solid. I don't think we'll eve have to buy another one.

We were spending $6 for a small bottle of cold brew per day and decided it was idiotic. So we got this not having a clue how these work. Realized it’s very simple. Took a 1/8 measuring cup as a scoop. Filled the metal mesh washable filter with 9 scoops of coffee. Filled the pitcher holding the filter with water. Put the lid on. Let it sit overnight on counter. In the morning removed the filter carefully (due to coffee dripping from bottom of filter) and dumped the grounds in the trash. Tapped filter against inside of trash to remove most of the grounds and rinsed the rest away. Proceeded to make iced coffee and deemed it fine. Poured remaining unused coffee into a container in the fridge. Washed filter, pitcher and lid in dishwasher. Have repeated this process daily for the few weeks we have had this. Have saved a lot of money already. Five stars for doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. Save yourself some money too and get this. The End.
