Highly recommend, great quality

9/10 The grinder is great, hopper holds a good amount of beans, grinds consistent, even has a light that comes on during the grind so you can see the amount being dispensed. Pressure is good too! I will say this… I took about an hour to dial in the right grind and tamp to get the pressure where I need it. While there’s a learning curve, it’s very worth it. The espresso I can make vs my last machine is night and day different. Steaming is great too, powerful and can steam / extract at the same time. The only reason I say 9/10 is because you can’t control the temperature nor see it (no temp gauge). This is not a deal breaker for me at least, I’d rather have the dual boiler. It’s very heavy too, while it’s not “solid” steel housing, it’s heavy enough to hold it down when removing the portafilter.

Thank you for your feedback

This is my first espresso/cappuccino machine and I love it. At first it seemed like it would be hard to work. However after reading through the manual it and making my first cup it seemed really easy to use. I would say after my 4th cup I got a perfect tasting cappuccino. (From what I read it takes a couple tries to gage the machine so you get a good pressure while pouring the coffee) I highly recommend the machine!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
Gevi has a good reputation and I’ve had a good experience with their customer service! People are willing to work with you if you have issues with their products. Secondly, this is a double boiler machine with both NTS and PID controls for temperature consistency. That is huge and generally is found in more expensive machines. The Breville double boiler costs around $1500.00 and doesn’t include a bean grinder! This includes the bean grinder, works well and is an incredible “bang for the buck!”

The machine works perfectly, is easy to operate and does not take up much time; the coffee comes out according to my expectations but I must point out that the additives intended for cleaning do not come according to the manufacturer and the instructions.

it has been performing better than expected, without a doubt a great bang for the buck and performs just as well as more expensive

I would not recommend purchasing this machine.

We visited a friend’s home with a similar machine that made wonderful espresso. I purchased this model hoping it would be similar.

When it arrived, it was missing a part listed in the owner’s manual.

I have now had the machine three months. It is now at the point where it flips the electric circuit breaker every other use. The cooldown takes several minutes, which makes for cold coffee and time spent waiting for the restart.

The cost and value of the product make sense since you get a grinder, an espresso maker, and a frother all in one. However, with the missing part and the machine not working properly, redemptor caveat – buyer beware.

We are big coffee and espresso fans and wanted the real barista experience at home. It’s unfortunate that the machine only works intermittently making espresso without foaming the cream. It’s mostly plastic parts which break easily, like the water tank lid. And I need a separate frother as the one included mostly warms the cream without frothing it. This machine really only works for espresso, which limits its versatility, so don’t expect coffee or lattes.

Read the other single star reviews before purchase. The manufacturer might consider discontinuing this machine and reimbursing or partially reimbursing those who bought faulty machines for hundreds of dollars. I recommend going with another brand that hopefully will live up to what this machine promises to deliver.

Good product but the presets are way off and even the support cannot recalibrate it, very disappointed. It dispenses 22g and 40g of coffee from the hopper for single and double shots respectively. The water dispensed is also way off from what the manual even recommends. The steam wand works well when the espresso is being pulled at the same time. However it takes couple of seconds to switch from water to steam. Otherwise it is easy to use, decent for the cost especially during sale. The tools it comes with are ok, I tried using the basket remover once and it broke – so be careful.

I would not recommend this for light roasts since I don't think the water get hot enough. Despite dialing it in, I am unable to get a good coffee with the light roast. The dark roasts are good.

The design is good and very minimalistic. It does not take up much space.
