I love this easy to use cold brew carafe. It’s perfect size for me to have fresh cold brew all week and let’s me drink more coffee without making my stomach hurt. I also generally like the look and is great for serving cold brew to friends. Will keep me cool and caffeinated this summer!!

    My first cold brewer and I absolutely love it! The design is simple and easy to use. The unit is made with borosilicate glass but the glass is very thin. I invested in the Asurion warranty to give me a little piece of mind. The unit is not short. My cabinet doors all can come into contact with the top when opened. It requires 6+ hours to brew I suggest putting the unit out of the way as it brews.
    I use my unit with my Dreo 8-in 1 electric milk froather.
    The coffee concentrate the unit produces last about 2 weeks in the fridge in an air tight container.
    Overall a great design. I plan on purchasing more as gifts before the price goes up😊

    I saw a home improvement show one day that someone was renovating their kitchen and they wanted a shelf that would feature a 5 foot slow drip cold brew coffee maker…. I'm like WTF?! So I started researched and found this economical, much smaller version to get started.     I recently purchased the ice drip cold brew coffee maker and have been using it almost every day since. It has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances.

    The process of making the coffee is incredibly simple and only takes a few minutes to setup. I just put the coffee grounds in the filter, add some ice to the top chamber, and let it drip through to the carafe below. The result is a smooth and perfectly-brewed batch of cold brew coffee. I love that I can control the strength of my coffee by adjusting the amount of ice and the drip rate.

    One of the things that I really appreciate about this coffee maker is that it doesn't produce any heat, so my coffee stays nice and cold throughout the brewing process. This is especially important to me because I live in a hot climate and I don't always have time to make my coffee in the morning. With this coffee maker, I can make a big batch of cold brew coffee in the evening and then just pour myself a cup whenever I want it.

    Another thing that I really like about this coffee maker is that it's very easy to clean. The carafe, filter, and lid are all dishwasher safe, so I can just toss them in the dishwasher and be done with it. This is a big plus for me because I hate doing dishes.

    Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the ice drip cold brew coffee maker to anyone who loves cold brew coffee. It's a game-changer!

    Some things to know…

    My first batch was poorly extracted. You must fully pre-wet your coffee grounds in the filter cone. Otherwise the extraction isn't great. What this really needs is a silicone cup shaped like the filter cone in which you can put the filter cone with dry grounds and then fill it with water and allow the grounds to soak up the water before putting it into the glass carafe. For my second batch I used a bamboo skewer to stir the grounds with some water in the cone to fully wet them. I think I will find a properly sized plastic cup that I can fill with water and set the cone in and allow it to absorb the water. I also placed a circle of filter paper I cut out of an Aeropress filter over the grounds so the drip is dispersed along the top of the grounds (other cold drip brewers use a piece of filter paper over the grounds).

    The second time around I only used room temp water in the upper chamber (no ice). I also put a piece of tape over the small hole in the glass to slow down the drip rate. I do wish there was a way to slow down the drip rate further but that would require a valve. My second batch was properly extracted but I would have liked it a bit stronger and I don't think there's any way to achieve that than to slow down the drip rate. I am using 40 grams of coffee and 500ml+ water. Later batches I started grinding finer and the coffee is getting stronger. Overall I'm happy with this dripper.

    The little plastic pin that is in the drip hole in the silicone is supposed to stay in there to slow the drip rate. Do not remove it except for cleaning. I wish they included three or more of those plastic pins because I foresee losing it! I hope the company can send replacements. Without the plastic pin the brewer is useless.

    Pros: when I finally got past the 2 poorly done vidoes (user's, not seller's) and the incorrect instructions (seller's) this product produces delicious cold brew coffee. It gave me 2 cups, overnight.
    Cons: In the first video, a lady unpacks it and talks about using it. Seriously?!? In the second video, a guy gives the wrong instructions. Not helpful!
    Now, for the seller's instructions: You're supposed to pour a little water in the filter to wet the grounds, which is ineffective. I had to mix the grounds with water, then pour them into the filter. Messy! Also, this method uses twice the coffee I put in my refillable k-cup. Very expensive in the long run. The instructions recommended using cheaper coffee, and maybe that will work for you, but I haven't run across any inexpensive coffee.
    I gave it 3 stars, because this may be perfect for some, but I don't use it anymore.
