I really don't know much about making espresso, or coffee in general for that matter. Just that I love it. I chose this machine bc I not only wanted a good espresso shot, but to be able to make a solid cup of coffee as well. I also chose it bc it was the only one I saw that had the option for just hot water, which I use often. This allowed me to get rid of my electric kettle to save space.
I really couldn't wait to set this thing up & make an awesome cup of coffee from home. I tried the regular espresso first to get a feel for the taste, then made an Americano. The espresso & the coffee were perfect! But Im gonna have to work a little on frothing the milk as the first time really didnt go well. I did use a mixture of whole milk creamer & almond milk tho, so maybe that had something to do with it. Watch out if you're doing this because it will start to make the milk boil if you're not careful & it'll go everywhere.
I didnt see anything in the instructions about the max steam setting right off. I figured more steam, more froth, but that might not be the case. Ill have to try again later or tomorrow with just the whole milk creamer & not on max steam, lol.. but I honestly cant wait.
The machine & tools are solid, much better quality than I was expecting after seeing a review with the handle broken. Everything looked to be of great quality, with solid metal/steel parts, which is really important to me. I hate cheap metal & cheap plastic parts & immediately lose respect for companies when I see this. But I'm super happy to be able to say that was not the case with this product. The only cheaper plastic parts are the parts that dont matter and dont come in contact with what you're consuming, from everything I can tell. & they arent enough to affect the high quality appearance of the machine.
All things considered, I'm so glad I jumped on the decision to buy an espresso machine & super pumped with my decision to purchase this one.
