This November, we’re raising a cup to 13 independent coffee shops in nine states that are celebrating anniversaries ranging from one to 18 years.

Some are long-time community staples, others are fresh new names — but all have one thing in common: they started or scaled their business using our 7 Steps to Success program.

Through this program, our expert consultants offer hands-on, real-world support — from writing your first business plan to training baristas, crafting menus and making sure your drinks and service shine every day.

So let’s meet a few of the shops marking anniversaries this month!

Stoked Coffee and Holtfield Coffee Station — 18 Years and Still Brewing Strong

Back in 2007, Stoked Coffee in Marietta and Holtfield Coffee Station in Hillsboro, Ohio, opened their doors with a shared goal: to serve great-tasting coffee and take care of their neighbors.

And nearly two decades later? They’re still doing just that — and growing.

Stoked Coffee: From Road Trip Idea to Local Favorite

stoked coffee in marietta ohioStoked Coffee started with a West Coast road trip and a big idea: what if drive-thru coffee shops were a thing here in the Midwest?

Owners Duane and Valerie Huck, along with Travis and Angela Christman, took that inspiration and ran with it. They connected with Crimson Cup, used the 7 Steps program to build their first shop in Marietta, and never looked back.

Today, Stoked is a Mid-Ohio Valley favorite. With over 50 flavor options and signature drinks like the Stoked Mocha, their menu is fun, fast and full of personality.

In 2024, they opened a second shop in Parkersburg, West Virginia — and locals couldn’t get enough.

Holtfield Coffee Station: Not Your Typical Gas Station

Owners Mark and Dawn Edenfield and John and Andrea Holt run a true community hub: coffee, pizza, subs, a deli, groceries and even a wildlife license station. It’s been a Hillsboro staple since 2007, built on friendly service, strong teamwork and a genuine love for their customers.

“We’re not your typical gas station,” said John Holt. “We’ve had great employees and loyal customers who helped make us successful.”

The team learned how to run a coffee shop through our 7 Steps to Success program and continues to lean on us for training, equipment support and growth strategy. Their tip-sharing team even donates to local causes — from sports teams to families in need.
