Awesome strainer for cold-brewing

I've discovered the joys of cold-brewing loose-leaf tea so I was glad to find this strainer. The description says "fits 32oz jars" but it fits my 28oz jars perfectly; it's also big enough to accommodate large chunks of fruit or what-have-you. The mesh is very fine. When I made the first batch I agitated the jar a few times while brewing to test the seal and there were no leaks, but there were some small particles in the tea after I removed the strainer. I left the second batch alone and there were *no* particles in the tea afterward (despite the tea being made of smaller bits). I'm very pleased with it.

    This is the perfect filter for brewing home grown herbal teas. I can make a half gallon at a time using this. It's got a very fine filter and keeps dust out of the tea – absolutely perfect. The lid fits well and does not pop off (like some I have had). I use a half gallon mason jar for daily brewing.
    This filter is going to get tea stained over time – which is normal. I have seen some people say they think it is rust – but it is not, it is tea or coffee stain on the stainless, and if it bothers you, you can use a fine stainless scrubber to get it shiny again.
    This is a wonderful set, my 2nd to purchase.
