I really like the overall look of this espresso machine—it’s sleek and stylish, and the big water tank is a huge plus since I don’t have to refill it very often. That said, it’s not the easiest machine for beginners. The buttons make it simple to operate on the surface, but dialing in a good espresso shot has been tricky. I think the espresso powder I’ve been using is too fine, because the water doesn’t drip through properly and it’s hard to get a consistent pour. It’s a little quieter than most machines I’ve tried, though definitely not silent, so you’ll still hear some humming and pumping. One feature I do love is the iced coffee function—I use it a lot and it always delivers a refreshing result. Overall, it’s a nice-looking machine with useful features, but it does have a learning curve that might frustrate first-time baristas.

    I’m honestly so impressed with this espresso machine! It heats up quickly and the pressure is just right for pulling a rich, smooth shot every time. The cream it produces is beautiful, and the flavor is deep and bold just like what I used to get at my favorite café.

    Ok, but need two major improvements

    This machine is nice and compact and holds a decent amount of water in its tank. It does its job and makes a good cup of cappuccino/espresso. Its shortcomings are its front buttons and the big handle for holding the coffee (not sure what to call it). The control buttons are frustrating to use and operate inconsistently. Sometimes they seem to require a long press and sometimes a short press to operate. Occasionally nothing happens when pressed and it takes a hard press to work. These “touch” buttons need to be replaced with traditional buttons or replaced with an actual LCD touch screen that works properly. The handle is very light and cheap feeling. I almost broke it when tamping down coffee while the metal coffee pod was in the handle, as it popped and a screw came out the bottom. Luckily I was able to reassemble it and now I tamp the coffee before I insert the metal pod into the handle. The handles “working end” should be all metal and not 1/2 plastic! The steamer mechanism works well and it froths milk properly.

    QJA expresso coffee machine reveiw

    So far I have learn a lot about expresso and unmsing this machine each day helps me to improve using it each day. As I have a couple of cups each day. My favorite is make Cuban Coffee. It easy ro use and easy to cleanup bought some extra things to go with it and it has made my consistency better each time I use it. Like anything you have a learning curve and each time gets better and it a great machine for the price as one just beginning the world of expresso brewer. One thing that this don't have is I recommend a scale for weighing out you Coffee to get consistent results for me and the Coffee I use 13 grams is the magic number to get my best results the book says it can use up to 15 grams but it above the full mark therefore it must refer to a finer grind than I am using. That the try and error of the learning curve. And each coffee has it's own characteristics a d you will have to learn that for your own taste. But I do like it and I don't have to drive to get a cup of expresso or Cuban coffee at three to five dollars. So it paying for itself each time I use it I figure at two to three expressos a day and in a moth it will have paid for itself. That good on the pocket book. I also but the extended warranty just in case and it only cost a was a few extra coffees and it's paid for itself as well. I recommend it if you a beginner but the more advanced may not because they have more experience to draw upon. But for me it great and the price was too.
