At the garden ground of a post-Soviet residential prohibit, the cafe Bonne Bouche opens as much as the road with extensive glazing, summer time terraces and a colourful pastry program. The 200-square-meter (about 2,150 sq. ft) café brings a glorious, cloudless entrance corridor in conjunction with a softly lit internal room, wrapping each in rounded terrazzo surfaces and heat yellow upholstery.
“Our project’s specialty is how it fits into the urban space. We widened the windows and opened the facade as much as possible,” Dmytro Bonesko, an artwork director at Ukraine-based YOD Team, which led the design,” instructed DCN. “We have expanded the space by adding summer areas. A well-thought-out landscape design turned a piece of lawn in front of the house into a cozy forest glade. A podium with tables on the facade allows you to feel the pulse of the city.”
Within the glorious living room, a rounded communal desk and the bar counter — each in Italian terrazzo — serve anchors, hour yellow upholstered chairs from Ukranian model Woo “radiate warmth,” consistent with a mission description.
Deeper inside of, a 2nd corridor with out direct daylight shifts the state, as a wall-sized shiny panel acts like a backlit town shiny, offering the principle illumination with biodynamic settings that transition from richer morning atmosphere to a cozier night radiance.
From the communal desk to wall niches, curves and radial main points connect the mission in combination. The ones curves are strengthened via the soft-edged sofas, armchairs and Noom-brand seating. Summary graphics echo the terrazzo palette, preserving the perceptible rhythm shiny and lively, consistent with the designers.
The outside section adjoining to the café is composed of a summer time terrace safe from the solar via a pergola and a stepped podium then to the principle front. The pergola rests on a inexperienced section augmented via present pine timber, with donut-shaped yellow poufs.
“This place has become the favorite Instagrammable zone for visitors,” the designers stated. “The second outdoor area is a wide staircase with integrated tables and soft yellow seat cushions. The gray color of the tiles of the steps resembles sun-burned boards. Thanks to this shade, the podium delicately mimics the facade of the building.”
