The portafilter didn't fit my Casabrew machine. The ears were too big! However, I put the filter into my bottomless Casabrew portafilter and it fit perfectly. Easy to slide in and out. Created some crema but could be my fault for not putting enough coffee inside. More vertical space into hole on bottom.

Great high quality prtafilter and basket for Delonghi EC680 / EC685 espresso machine

When I bought this portafilter, I originally wanted it to place a normal non-pressurized basket in it to make quality espresso and get rid of the pressurized basket that came with the original machine. And for that, it does a very good job.

But then, I wondered how the pressurized basket that came with this specific portafilter would do? It turned out to be great! I can use soft ground coffee without applying too much pressure when tampering it and it produces fabulous espresso. It is a hundred times better than the original basket that came with the Delonghi EC685.

On top of that, the material it is made of is so good that when you dispose of the coffee, you simply give it a small knock and the coffee simply falls off, making it easy to quickly rinse, clean and prepare the next shot. It has made life easier for me in all aspects.
Finally, the bottom coned shape lets the espresso pour out in as smooth stream without making any mess.

I really can't believe how good this purchase was at this low price! Simply an unbelievable bargain.
Highly recommended.
