I wanted to try something different because I've been having issues draining out the coffee grounds for my cold brew every time. I ordered the 8×12 bag so I would have plenty of room to stir my grounds. I first loaded the dry bag with four cups of coursely ground espresso beans, filled up a drink container with 3 Liters of water (I do 1 of cup espresso coffee beans per 3 cups water), gently pushed 3/4 of the bag down in the water and used a spoon to stir the grounds in the bag in water to fully saturate the grounds to make sure there was no dry grounds in the bag. Then I pulled the tie strings of the bag and kept the drawstring on the outside of my container to keep the bag upright, then put on the lid. After 24 hours, I took the container out of the fridge, put a strainer on top of a bowl, and then placed the bag on top of the strainer to let the bag drain out. Do not squeeze the bag to get extra cold brew out, this could make your coffee bitter. Once I felt the grounds were pretty well drained, all I had left to do was strain out the coffee oils in other paper filters. This bag made the process so much easier! I have been struggling dealing with coffee grounds for months, and this is so well worth the money! This works great! I had no grounds in my coffee, although I did still have the coffee oils. Also the bag did not take away or alter the taste of the cold brew coffee. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make cold brew coffee!
